EB2 PD 2009

My PD is EB2 2009 INDIA.  Earned Bachelors in 2003 and Masters in 06,  My 6 year H1B expires this year, and I attained a total work experience of 8 years, how long would be my wait? Before I even get a EAD ?

My fellow friends who earned Bachelors in 2006 and had a PD of 2008 EB3 INDIA, already got their EAD and are to apply for GC in under a month.

I see a lot of fellow applicants from EB3 prior to year 2009 have begun applying in EB2 with EB2 application dates of Jan 2013,Mar 2013 and so on.

Technically speaking, they earned Eligibility to EB2 years after me, how can they claim a number in a specialized lot when they attained the skill after me. When I am far superior by holding a Specialized Degree and greater number of years of Experience too? I out do them in both the Criteria's so how can someone attain a skill at a time later than me and claim eligibility and get ahead of me?

Does my hard work, effort, knowledge and the amount of time I spent to attain the Eligibility for EB2 is all USELESS?

I wonder with the massive EB3 to EB2 applications being ported, would I get a EAD anytime before I get grey Hair or at least in a decades time?

Any calculated estimation of time-frame I should wait to see this turn into a reality would be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

Very good point. I believe porting should not be allowed at all. IMO, no offense intended to those feel offended, all those porters from EB3-EB2 are people with only Bachelors from India who have come to USA till 2008. I am hoping once the EB2 dates move to 2009, I believe it should move fast since there has not been importing of that "junk" from India after 2008 recession. IMO there will be only people who have Masters from USA or ppl working for Big Indian IT giants after 2009 who might have applied in EB2.

I graduated with a BS from USA in 2005, never thought about GC till last year, currently my PERM is in process, I do not know how long I need to wait. It just that some come here for dreams, and some come here only for GC and dollars.

Wow..you are EB2 2009 and complaining? You have 8 yrs of experience and 10 yrs in the US and complaining? Wait till you come across prenalguy.

Anways I hope you understand that you cannot apply for EAD unless your PD gets current. At this moment EB2 date is Jan 2008. Sep Bulletin will take it to June 2008.

Wait for maybe 6-7 months when your PD gets current and you should be able to apply for EAD/AP and also get your GC.

That's called a loophole found by our dear community. Wait until you hear the EB1 Route by L1 holders.

I hear you. It just sucks. I read somewhere the demand for EB1 is increasing at a rate of 1000 per month. I hope it is not true, and they do more scrutiny on all those EB1 for IT people, I mean there are millions of desis between ages 30-35 who are PL or TL or some managers. Cant give all of them GC just cuz their companies file them as Executive manager with Multinational exp....ridiculous.

He means pernalguy. Pernalguy, You seem to have stopped visiting. Maybe you got the GC and do not want to let us know. I suspect you also hopped into EB2 and have a GC.

yah lol..I belive he must have done that as I remember him mentioning that he's doing some Online MS here. He must have ported to EB2 and enjoying his new GC.
