passport expiring before H1 validity

Hello All:

 

My passport is expiring on Feb 2015 and i have valid H1B until Sep 2016, I am going for stamping in Oct(Canada or India) , Do i get visa untill Feb 2015 or Sep 2016 ? 

 

 

Anyone are in the same situation.

You, will get VISA stamp till your Petition End Date.

 

You may get an I-94 till your passport expiry date. It depends on the POE officer.  If you are lucky then you will get I-94 till your PED.

I am in the same situation. Passport valid till August 2014 and H1 valid till June 2016. Going for stamping in 2 weeks.

I guess stamping will be till June 2016...when we renew our passport, this stamp in old passport is still valid till June 2016 but we need to carry both passports.

Yes, you need to carry both passports. 

 

If you get I-94 till passport exp date, then renew your passport and go out of US and come back or extend your I-94 with USCIS.
