sudbon2784 Posted August 13, 2013 Report Share Posted August 13, 2013 I applied for OPT application on July 2nd (Nebraska service center) with a start date of Sept 9th. I have a full time job offer and I included the offer letter with my application. My immedicate supervisor lives in Belgium. He wanted to come to U.S during my first week to discuss about the responsibilities. Since he needs to book a flight and make hotel reservations, they are asking if I can start either by Sept 9th or Sept 16th? I am not able to give an exact date. If they make reservations and if I don't receive my OPT, can it be conisdered as a financial loss to the comapany? With this situation, can I request USCIS to expedite my application?
