kasachu
Hello, I am working as a full-time employee on H-1B visa. I joined the current company six months ago and realized they have been firing a lot of employees for various reasons, not just performance. I am concerned about this as I came to know that H-1B visa holder will not have any time to look for a job after termination (i.e., they go out of status the next day after termination). Is it allowed to get H-1B sponsored by another employer (e.g., staffing firm) and keep it as a backup while continuing in the current job. What other options does a H1-B visa holder have in this kind of scenario? Appreciate your advice. Thanks. Link to comment

omshiv
Although its fine to take up a job at a Consulting company, its not adviced so these days. But better find a job at a product based company on a Full time basis. That way you'll be safe, both for approval of petition and for visa stamping. Link to comment
