DS160 for H1B extension and I797

Hi,

 

     My H1B is going to expire on sep 30th 2013 and new H1B is going to start from oct 1st 2013 with same employer.I don't have stamping for my old H1B so reserved a slot for stamping on september 15th in canada.I have couple of questions.Please reply.

 

       1)Which receipt number do I need to put in DS forms?

       2)When they ask for I797 which one do I need to provide at visa counter?

       3)How many days before can I go for stamping?

1) New I 797

2) New (Old if VO ask explicitly to show

3) I think 3 months before the actual start date. But in your case its good as its only 15 days prior to start date
