H1BJourney
I got F1 Visa on 3 rd time long time. Do we have to mention that F1 got rejected before in DS 160? I'm going for H1b stamping. Quote Link to comment

Guest
i have a question as well.....when we are on F1 in the US and when we apply for H1 work authorization (not h1 visa stamping), if it gets rejected, does it come under rejection? Quote Link to comment

VISA rejection is different from petition rejection. In your case it's petition rejection not VISA rejection. Quote Link to comment

H1BJourney
Just to confirm, During our F1 interviews, lot of people got visa on 2nd or 3rd attempt. Is this considered as rejection? Quote Link to comment
bheeshmachary
VISA rejection is different from petition rejection. In your case it's petition rejection not VISA rejection. ooh That means, F1 Rejections(in India) would not be counted in this case? Quote Link to comment
sthamago
ooh That means, F1 Rejections(in India) would not be counted in this case? when you attend for F1 Visa and you got refused to get the visa then you need to enter that information while filling the DS 160 now Quote Link to comment
omshiv
ooh That means, F1 Rejections(in India) would not be counted in this case? Basically, in other simple words..what it means is - When you go to the US Consulate for F1 Stamping, be it in India or anywhere else, and if the Visa Officer Reject your Visa, then it is counted as Rejection...and you have to mention this on the DS-160 form. rahul412
ooh That means, F1 Rejections(in India) would not be counted in this case? No, visa rejection means when you attend for 'visa stamp' for any type of visa at any consulate and has been rejected after the interview then that's clear rejection. Quote Link to comment

H1BJourney
What if we got visa approved during next interview? we still count the old rejection as rejection? Quote Link to comment
sthamago
What if we got visa approved during next interview? we still count the old rejection as rejection? if the question says any rejections in last 5 years and if it is yes then yes else no. all questions in ds 160 are straight farward Quote Link to comment
