Adoptions by Non-U.S. Citizens Living in the U.S

Dear Experts

 

If an individual is on non-immigrant visa (L1) looking forward to adopt a child from my extended family. What are US legal requirements to adopt a family member from India while on non-immigration category? where can I find details of INA 101(b)(1)(E)! Thanks in advance.

If you want to bring the child to the US, that's generally not possible unless the child has lived with you abroad for 2 years.
