mejantoo Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Hi I have applied for Change of Status from H4 to F1 on May 2013. When I see my status its still showing Initial Review My H4 is expiring in Sept 2013 and my husband's company asked me not to file for H4 extension with my husband as I already have COS under my name. My question is if my F1 COS is denied after Sept 2013 (as my H4 is expiring in Sept 2013) what are my options - Will I be out of status automatically - Will I be able to file for H4 extension separately as my husbands company has already filed for his extension. - how many days will I have to file for my H4 extension if my F1 is denied.

pontevecchio Posted August 9, 2013 Report Posted August 9, 2013 Have a chat with your DSO and use your charm to have her make enquiries. Bottom line you can always leave and come back in H4 status in future if necessary.
