Its one stop for Immigration Laws I think.

My situation.

  • I-140 approved
  • Got better opportunity
  • New Employer might or might not file GC

Questions:

  • What if I move H1 and new employer files GC. I understand process starts again but the PD remains same
  • What if I move and new employer does not file GC? Can I ask Old Employer to continue my GC?
  • Can old employer continue my GC?
  • Will they do it? is there any cost associated after 140 till waiting for PD for the employer?
  • Can I do New GC with new employer at this time where there is talk about good movement in dates?
  • Is it advisable to move now looking at the rate GC dates are progressing
  • Do you predict dates will be current in few months?

  • 3 weeks later...

Ask them. They may not do it if you are going to leave anyway.

Movement depends on the EB classification. Talk is cheap. Nobody knows for sure.

  • Is it advisable to move now looking at the rate GC dates are progressing

The movement of GC priority dates should not influence you much.

  • Do you predict dates will be current in few months?

Which country of Birth and which EB classification/.?
