Even though my major is Mechanical, i have done couple of computer base courses during my grad and undergrad level (can show proof). I started developing more interest towards it. I have also done some certifications (can show proof). And finally in my first company, i was given some intensive training on C and other related courses, and that’s made me more expertise on software side.

OK, your visa is approved.
My interview was on Tuesday 30th. I got the waybill confirmation on Thursday evening.

At Airport

They just checked my Passport for the Canadian visa and even at the Canada immigration she just asked me a couple of questions. Like Q) Why did you come to Canada - I told her for h1b US Visa stamping (told the truth,) Q) Do you have a place to stay - Yes i have an address. She said Ok.

Regarding the travel to Canada - Initially i bought a one way ticket to Canada, coz who knows how long it might get delayed if a 221g is issued. Remember in your customs & Immigration form at airport mention 2 weeks stay.

@MAK07

Thanks a ton for the detailed information on the Start to End process for a successful Visa interview. I am from a non IT field too and was bit worried on what to answer if they ask a question on Masters major, but after reading your post I am a lot relieved on what to answer genuinely. I had a training and certification on the IT job I am currently doing.

Hi kred7,
