shasub21
Hi all, I had a question regarding AOS application and the recent movement for EB2 dates. I am current with this August bulletin (Jul 2007). I had received an RFE (for me and wife) on June 14th. Both our cases changed online to mention: "RFE". This was the Employment Verification Letter RFE that was requested. I am the primary and my wife is secondary on the application. USCIS then sent a subsequent letter stating that an RFE response was not required for my wife. To this effect, my lawyers mentioned that the EVL is required for only me. The response for my case was sent on July 14th. On Jul 17th - my wife's I485 changed status - "RFE response received". However, mine remains the same till date. This feels very odd to me. My question: Is there a way to contact USCIS and enquire about a case? I do not care if they dont change my status but ensure that my RFE response was received. Reason for me worrying: 1. We have sent RFE responses 3 times for previous RFEs for both of us. Everytime the case status changes together with no exception. 2. There was no response sent to my wife's case and was only sent for mine. I feel my lawyers might have incorrectly mixed up the case numbers!!! Thanks PS: I will not be surprised with my lawyers goofing up with the responses given their shoddy work off-late. I did contact the lawyers and they always blame USCIS. Link to comment
Belle
I don't think it's a big deal. Obviously, the response was received. The electronic status is not always reliable. You can take an InfoPass and ask, if you want to. Link to comment
