H1B for Primary AP for family?

Hello experts,

 

Can the primary applicant use H1B to enter the country along with other family members entering with AP?

 

In that case can family members change to H4 at a later time (if needed)?

Sure, dependents can enter on AP if they want.

That's independent of you entering on H1. The other way around would be problematic, since dependents can only enter on H4 if you enter on H1.

You can go to the counter together if that is what you want to know. You are not doing anything wrong if you do.
