myTen Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 I got 221g in Nov, It was name check as I come with a common "muslim" sounding name. I had not traveled for 6yr and VO in canada did say " so you have not traveled for sometime now" apart from regular set of questions(LCA,stubs,MS related, employer, previous employer, income, job duties) for H1 stamping. That might not be reason for 221g. Interviewer did indicate it will likely take time in my case. I asked how long? he said " a month or several weeks". I gave him my passport, hoping for a month. I took it back later. Waited some 70+ days in Vancouver before flying to India, totally regret that. As its better to fly to India and spend some more quality time with family. Used to email them weekly when in Vancouver, later once a month when i stayed in India . After months of emailing finally got positive response. And I have my H1. Hope it was worth it.
