I wanted to know about the following stuff: Can i do a court marriage now and start my GC process rather than starting it after the traditional wedding in feb 2014 ? We currently stay in different states and are planning to stay together after the traditional wedding. Will this be an issue for I485 filing if i apply now ? What supporting documents do we need to show to present our case? Should i do the filing myself or taking the help of an attorney more advisable? Fiance is a student with no income. How to fill the affidavet of support in this case ? Any help in this matter will be appreciated. Thanks Link to comment
