RT2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 i was stopped by a police officer two years back for a traffic violation. After seeing my drivers licence, He took me to the police station as per that county law as i had out of state licence at that time. they took the finger prints and a 100 refundable fee(Bond) with a careless driving ticket. later i plea guilt and took the drivers improvement course to get rid of points. Am I really arrested? But while applying for Canada visa i say NO for the "have you ever arrested question" . i got the Canada visitor visa. Now i have a visa interview in less than two weeks in Canada. My company attorney says going to the police station and paying a refundable fee is not considered to be arrested. But after seeing some topics here i am confused. Can i go to Canada for stamping as i said NO while applying the Canada visa? do i need to say YES for the question in DS 160 for the arrest/conviction? what are the chances of getting my H1B visa stamp? i have the court docket sheet which says that the case is closed. is this document sufficient as a proof of my case? can anyone help me ASAP as i have to cancel all my reservations. Thanks in advance.
RT2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Author Report Posted July 31, 2013 any one please help. i have only a week to cancel or reschedule the meeting.
RT2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Author Report Posted July 31, 2013 So, can i just say NO to the Arrest/Conviction question in DS 160 form?
