ichbinraj Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 Hi , My name is raj and planning to attend h1b visa interview in Canada. I am contractor and completed 6 years, I am in my 7th year of h1b(stamped 2 times successfully). recently I changed employer and got next 3 years on my h1b based on my I-140. I have been reading couple of topics on h1b visa stamping. Can you guys please answer my below questions : Which consulate is giving more visas to h1b contractors. Is it Toronto? or Ottawa? or Vancouver? Approximately Available dates for Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver? What are the questions they are asking in h1b visa interview for Contractors? Any suggestions to h1b contractors before going to visa interview in Canada? Appreciate your help. Thanks Raj

H1B is given to full time employees not to the contractors and you are FT employee for your employer 3. No one knows what questions they ask you during the interview. 4. Since you have worked on H1 for more than 6 yrs, I think you don't need any suggestions.

Coming to your questions, after working for more than 6 yrs I don't understand why are you asking these kinds of questions. How did you thought that a particular consulate gives more visas?

There is no specific Consulate which hands out Visas to Contractors. 2) Keep Checking their site. 3) Keep reading this forum..sure shot you'll be well informed. 4) Just carry all your H1 related documents.
