Hello can someone please assist where I can find instructions to mail the passport at New York office of Canadian Embassy. I am not able to find anything regarding where to send it and with what kind of return labels. Is there webpage with instructions (URL) which you can specify?

I found the address and I am located in New York, so I don't even mind dropping it in person if it will be faster than mailing it.

I received the email to send passport but it doesn't say approved or rejected. Trying to get tourist visa of Canada for H1b stamping of US at Toronto.

Thanks

Hi,

If you receive mail for passport submission they wont tell you affront that you got visa. But most of the times for stamping purpose only they will ask your passport.

regarding passport submission you already know the consulate address.

in the e-mail they will clearly mention about a link send it to your online account. You need to take the print out of that copy and buy USPS cover along with stamp for priority mail [may be its 20 dollors] and write down your address send your passport with acknowledge ment proof.

keep the acknowledgement copy as a proof.

wait for 1 week you will get your passport back

Canada embassy , NY

you can drop in the office or send my post. both are same. mail takes 2-3 days for priority, next day for express.

address is

Immigration Section
Consulate General of Canada in New York
1251 Avenue of the Americas
New York, New York
10020
United States of America

use USPS express mail envelop or priority email. visit usps location then will guild you nicely. include a prepaid envelop also so that you can track the return. make sure you have the tracking number for both the way.

Thanks all for taking time to reply. I bought priority mail envelope from USPS, for receiving the passport - I am going to use express mail one day delivery. Now on the USPS express mail form it has FROM and TO section - as usual.

So just wondering if I should  fill out the From section (New york Consulate address) myself?  or LEAVE IT BLANK?.

I'll be sending the letter, passport and one extra letter requesting them to please process the application at their earliest convenience.

THanks
