mp2013
Hi, I'm on H4 visa for last 1year. Now I got admission into a university for LLM. I have few issues not much clear to me- 1) Is it better to change to F1 visa from H4, so that i can also find a job in university to support my studies? Is this possible with H4 visa? 2) While in the process of F1 transfer can i start my course with H4 status? 3) Funding - Will the finanical institutions issues loans to H4 visa holders or F1 visa holders? If so can you pls name them? Thanks MP Link to comment
t75
There are few positions at the university for which you could be hired; many if not most are a federal program for USCs and LPRs. You should have funding on your own; most loans are only available only to USCs and LPRs and are not from the college but from other sources. Check with lenders in your home country or through your current financial institutions. You may certainly study in H4; in fact, it may be less expensive depending on the university and its policies.
