andhrafan
this is a shock, i was almost ready to book my h1b visa appointment date. i applied canada visitor visa on june 14, 2014 got my passport back today, saw the passport no visa, there is a letter which says your application is refused reason: this box has a check mark : i am not satisfied that the following information is truthful: that you have never been refused a visa from canada i never applied to any canada visa, back in 2011 i applied to permanent residency program fsw through a lawyer and my application for PR was sent back telling incomplete application and they returned my application fee for PR. how can that be a visa (that is PR i applied and it was never processed) what are my options now, is there any other country i can go for h1b stamping, i am first time f1->h1b, been in usa for 8 years, never went outside, which country can i go for stamping, is it possible to go mexico? sam1982
You cannot go to MEXICO for first time H1B stamping. You can go to Kingston,Jamaica for first time H1B stamping. FYI-- For going to Jamaica you do not need a visa. Visa is on arrival. Link to comment
tirath5u
No you cannot go to Mexico for your first time H1B stamping, now not even the Bahams. Most preferably it should be your home country or Canada if you have U.S based education. This forum does not allow me to past anything or else I would have shown you the links. Please visit the immigration website of Tijuana for proof of my statement, Link to comment

Not sure what you information you have provided in your "Canada" Visa application. I applied for a "Canadian Visa" in April 2013 and got it in June (Almost 2 months). Might be you put the "reason for Visit" as tourist or personal. You can say that you are going for a interview at the U.S Consulate and give the name of the place you are staying (I gave my address of stay as a hotel). You can try again or another option is go to India to get visa stamped. Link to comment
RanjithNelanti
You can go to barbadose or jamaica.. Link to comment
sudheer339
Hey, sad to know that your visitor visa got rejected. But you cannot go to Mexico, if it is yours first time H1B stamping. Check if there are any other options to apply for Canada visa again. Check with the attorney if any. You can go to India or any country other than Canada, as you know. Link to comment
