viddu512
Hi members - what if our earnings at the EOY is less than the amount stated in LCA? This situation will arise if we go on a vacation outside USA for a few weeks or an extended period of time, such that it becomes an unpaid vacation or for example even for a Visa stamping when you travel outside USA and if you're not paid because you haven't worked 40hrs that week. In such cases, the earnings at the EOY will be less than the stated pay on LCAa and will be reflected on the W2. How do you suggest to handle such a situation? Please advise. Thanks Link to comment
JoeF
If it is legitimate, like unpaid vacation outside the US, you can just explain that. But be sure to have evidence that you indeed were outside the US. Link to comment
omshiv
Any pay less than LCA is a major concern these days. Anways when asked just answer the TRUTH!! How difficult is that? and how are we supposed to know why your pay is less than LCA salary? Just stick to the TRUTH! Link to comment
viddu512
i agree with both joe and omshiv. this is what even my attorney recommended. if it was laegitimate unpaid vaca on travel to india then show the immigration stamps and just be honest. he said it'll be a problem if u r in usa and unpaid unless u r out sick.
