DS 160 - Change in Passport Information

I am applying for my passport renewal, if i schedule an appointment with old passport information and submit the application(pay fees etc..) will i be able to change/Update the DS 160 information with new passport information before i go to stamping.

 

As teh dates are not available so easily i want to book a slot instead of waiting for new passport.

 

Please advice.

I have undergone through the same process. you just need to fill out New DS 160 with updated passport information.& update New DS 160 no in ur Visa Appointment profile

Submitted DS160 cannot be edited. You have to file new DS160.

 

Update in Interview application may depend on location. Where are you planning to attend interview?

Shayona - Appreciate your response, I just wanted to make sure once you pay fee and schedule appointment you can still change DS 160? Please correct me if my understanding is not correct.

yes you can change DS 160 as many times as u want. there is a one option in ur CSC visa profile to edit some details where u can change ur DS 160 form no.
