mansamf
Suggested to wait for at least 3 months ( if not in hurry). Usually USCIS takes long time to sends the petition info to PIMS database at Kentucky. It is not necessary though to wait for 3 months. If your PIMS verification need to be done at visa post then it takes 1-2 days. Link to comment

mansamf
There is no way to check PIMS . sending email does not help so don't waste time. Don't worry it is not big issue. Link to comment

If at all it did not get updated it would make us to wait an extra day when we go to stamping. Link to comment

I guess the OP says how much more validity (ie., expiry date from todays date) remaining on the approved i797 copy to go for stamping Link to comment
