srp1
Hi, After three years of staying in the US on a valid L1-B visa, my visa and I94 expired on 14 April 2013. My company applied for a I94 extension with L1A status since I am now a manager and the L1A I94 extension was approved on 19 April 2013. I am still working for same client and company in US and need to travel to India urgently due to emergency for 2 weeks and need to be back in USA again. Need some help in answering the following 1. Since my extended I94 is valid till 14April2015, Will I be able to re-apply for a visa to return to the USA using the approved L1A extension of I94 as the evidence? 2. Will an in person visa stamping appointment and interview( I guess at Chennai) be required in such a case? 3. What are the chances of such a visa stamping request getting approved? Assistance in this critical hour is very much appreciated. thank you. Link to comment
Attorney_11
It appears that a visa would likely be required to be applied for at a US Consulate or Embassy on the basis of the extended petition. Link to comment
