srinu.mangu2k
Hello Guys, I am currently in my 7th year of H-1B, with my I-140 approved. Though my I-140 got approved, I only got 1 year of extension from USCIS and so it will end in March 2014. My question: Can I move to another employer (end client, not a consultancy) if they file for a H-1B extension based on my I-140 approval. Is there a possibility that I can get 3 yrs of H-1B extension through the new employer, though they didnt file my GC in the frirst place? And how soon should the new employer refile my GC case and get me the labor and I-140 approvals again & also be able to port my current GC filing date? Are there any other risks in taking this step? Please advise. Thanks, Sri. Link to comment
