vmksp
Hi... I Just entered my 6th year of H1b and my visa expires on jun 10th 2014. My current employer has just started filing my labor. I'm planning to change my job. If i change my job in couple of months, is that going to be in fine shape?? I'm wondering do we get 1 year of H1b extension if our labor gets cleared?? I heard this from one of my colleague. So can you please suggest me whether i should continue with my current employer or can I still have the chance to change?? Link to comment
pontevecchio
LABOR pending 365 or I-140 pending 365 equates to one year extensions. Approved I-140 equates to 3 year extensions. In some cases PP of I-140 is possible. Talk to a Lawyer. Link to comment
t75
If you intend to leave this employer, why are you having him expend his funds (and alienate him for future references you will need) needlessly? Spend you time identifying the employer for which you intend to work. Link to comment
Jyothis
If you are already on your 6th year and just starting off, wait until you have an approved 140 to change the employer. Otherwise, you will need to leave the country in a few months. Extension can only be filed with an approved 140 or if perm was filed 365 days prior to your 6year end. Link to comment
