H4 Stamping in India When Principal Applicants passport is under renewal

Hi,

 

My wife is in India and she Is planning to go for H4 stamping in Chennai. She already got the approval notice for H4 before she left USA.

 

However my(Principal Applicant) passport has been sent for renewal.

 

I have a scanned copy of my passport before I sent it for renewal.

 

Can she go for stamping now or need to wait till I get my passport ?

Her approval notice has NO CONNECTION to getting a H4 visa. You need proof of the I94 and stubs.

Indeed True there is no connection between Approval and Visa.

I have given her the copies of my paystubs,W2,1040,H1b I797 + I94 ,Lca,I129 

However im confused if she has to wait till my passport gets renewed or can she go ahead

Does she have a copy of your latest H1 extension petition approval? That should do it.

Yes she has a copy of my H1 approval notice and I129
