Professional
Hi I might get in the process of filing of my H1 exempt visa for an NPO to work as a resident in a hospital. Is there a minimum salary requirement that need to paid by the hiring hospital to the resident so as to be eligible for H1 exempt visa? Link to comment
t75
A hospital has attorneys to advise them on immigration issues. You are unlikely to be the first H1B they hired and they will pay according to requriements. If you do not like the salary offered, look elsewhere or go home. Link to comment
JoeF
Also note that not all hospitals would qualify for cap exemption. Only universities, non-profit research organizations affiliated with universities (a university research hospital would fall under that category), and government research organizations are cap-exempt.
