Updating employer/address while OPT extn in process

Hi, 

When a OPT STEM extension application is in process (was applied on March 18th), is it okay to update USCIS with new employer/address change or will it delay the process further ? USCIS says update within 10 days, but since the application is still in process, just wondering if it may further delay the process, cuz its already been around 120 days.

If anyone who faced this issue or are in the same boat, please suggest ?

It may not delay the process and it is advised to inform CIS about change of address specially on pending petitions.
