H4 can travel after the H1B Approval.

Hi,

 

I hold H4 visa which is valid till Dec 2014, Presently my husband is in U.S. But i never travel to U.S yet and This year i have applied/filled H1B. In-case if my H1B is approved can i travel to U.S with H4 visa and change COS from H4 to H1B?

(OR) Do i need to go for H1B stamping before travel to U.S.?
