Delay in receiving the Approved I-140 Notice

Hello,

My I-140 (EB2 - Masters) got approved on June 11th 2013. And till today (July 9th 2013) neither my employer nor the attorney received the approval notice. My attorney contacted the USICS and confirmed the addresses of both my office and attorney's and it is correct as we have received the I-140 application receipt notice few months back. And the USCIS guys also confirmed that the mail did not get returned. On top of all this the USCIS guys were suggesting to apply for duplicate notice by paying a fee of around $400 + attorney fee. I do not understand why we should apply for duplicate/ pay money when there is no fault of ours.

 

Is anyone in the same boat? Is there any other option to get the approval notice other than applying for a duplicate?

Dont worry, I was in the same boat till 7 days back... 140 got approved on June 5th(case status)  but got receipt on Jul 10

Thanks ANDHRA STUDENT F1-OPT-H1B ..  Some sign of relief after knowing that postal delay is not that uncommon. I did not receive my 140 notice yet. I will wait till the end of the month before applying for a duplicate.

I dont think its a issue with Postal Dept... USCIS itself mailed Approval Notice very late... even though they approved it , they didn't post it untill recently...
