Hi All, I have attended visa interview H1B on 8th July 2013, below are the questions asked by visa officer.

 

Are you working with XYZ.?

 Previously I have worked with XYZ.

 

who is your current Employer

currently working with ABC.

 

From how long are you working with current client..

when did you leave old company?

************

 

when did you join current company?

************

 

Do you have employment letter?

yes shown.

 

Do you have vendor letter?

yes shown..

 

Do you have client letter?

Because of policies, my client hasn't provided on their letter head, but I have the client e-mail confirming the project and duration. shown that.. probably he didn't satisfy with that.

 

Visa officer wants to verify with client manager for project confirmation. He just all the documents I129, LCA, I797C, Paystubs, Client Email, Employer/vendor letters. Returned passport to me.

 

Let me know if any of you are in the same boat, or waiting to hear from consulate..

Was it general all EVC getting 221G or just your case because of lack of Client letter?

 

Which counter did you go for your interview?

I had my VISA interview today. My case is pretty much same as your. I was asked same question and got 221G today. Keep us posted. I will do the same. BTW where are you planning to stay for the next 2-3 weeks? At present I am staying in Embassy Hotel and looking for a temporary accommodation from July 13th onward.

It might not be with the lack of client letter, He has already decided to give white slip, probably it's because of employer change.

My VISA interview was on TUESADY....got 221G. VO collected my docs and told me they need to review my documents.

WEDNESDAY - They contacted my manager. He replied on the same day.

THURSDAY - Got an email from US Consulate.

FRIDAY - Went to Consulate at counter 7. They gave me all my docs back and took my passport. I was told that my VISA is approved and I should collect my passport from loomis after 3-4 days.

 

Guys, if you get 221G, pls dont worry. They will contact you client. Once they get a satisfactory answer from your client, they will approve your VISA.

Finally my visa got approved after 50 days...I have received an e-mail from consulate to submit the passport.

 

It might take two more weeks for me to complete all the formalities in INDIA (Marriage), anyone has idea about how soon I need to return back to CANADA submit the passport.
