H1B extension - URGENT

Friends,

 

I need to go out of USA for around 2 weeks to file the 7th H1B year extension.

 

 

1. Could you please let me know how much time it will take to get the Canada visitor visa?  Can I get it in person in new york ?

2. Will I get the new I-94 at POE while coming back ?

3. Will my canada visior visa stay in canada be counted out of H1B stay in USA ?

It is best to seek the counsel of a qualified competent immigration attorney with expertise in Canadian immigration matters. Any time outside the United States by an individual otherwise maintaining H1B status in the United States does not count towards the H1B limitation on period of stay. The CBP is rolling out a system whereby individuals coming into the United States by air at certain ports of entry are not issued a paper I-94 card but can get their I-94 off line when they return to their homes. Those entering a land ports of entry continue to be issued paper form I-94 cards.
