DS 160 question- reg previous employment ( on OPT) - please help

I worked for a employer on OPT before joining my current company, and my current company applied my first H1 . Should I include previous employer (OPT) on DS 160 or is it just what employment on H1. Please advice.

You need to include all employment - the status while on employment is irrelevant when work history is asked for.

Just as an FYI

 

I currently work for a US based huge IT org and I just happened to talk to their attorneys. They suggested me on DS160 to list only the employment in the USA that is on H1B and OPT is not required.

Dude, just fill as much as possible. Don't leave empty columns if you have information to fill those columns.
