charantejm Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 Hi, My OPT expired on Feb 28th, Applied for OPT extension and got RFE and received a denial notice on June 24th saying that i havent submitted proof for the unpaid internship. So i have been unemployed for more than 90 days during my OPT period. But my employer has provided all the employment information in offer letter, where am was got enrolled in unpaid internship. If i file an MTR, is there a chance for approval? Am i legal to stay, if i apply for MTR. Or is better to travel and come back with new i20 ? Can you please advise, since my SEVIS is in complete now.
