If so, do I have to have a job or can I apply like a H4 candidate ? My consultancy would be filing for my H1 next year. Please let me know, what would be advisable.

They why did you joined for 2nd master's degree?? When you are applying for a job with your previous degree then why 2nd master's degree?? It clears hints that your intention is to work but not to go to school. Of course without a job, no H1. - But, can I apply like a H4 person does ? What's the difference?? Any H1 petition says that they have a real JOB.
inspiring_progress Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 Princess... Get a real job with a real employer. I have doubts that your consultant is shady like most consultants. How can the consultant promise you H1B while you are almost an year away from April 1 2014?
JoeF Posted July 3, 2013 Report Posted July 3, 2013 Why did you enroll for the 2nd MS if you don't want to finish the degree? An F1 is not for "bridging" some time.
