Taxes after resignation

Hi,

I have an H1B visa but had already resigned. I am already back in my home country for about a month now.

I am just wondering if I still need to pay federal and state taxes next tax season? I do not have anybody  or any address in the US if ever my previous employer will send the W2.

If ever I do not need to pay, what will happen if I go back for another H1B petition for another employer in the future (say a year or so from now)? How will it affect my future H1B status and my employment if I have not paid my taxes from a previous H1B job because I do not have any means to do so from my home country?

I know I can just turn my back and just NOT pay the taxes but I am afraid it might affect any future plans I have of going back to the US for another H1B employment opportunity.

Yes, you will have to pay tax for the duration you were in US.

You can file tax, only, you will not have to be necessarily in USA at time of filing tax.

W-2 is your right, you will get it. If you have some payroll system (ADP etc) , you can get soft copy from thr.

Thr is no excuse for not filing tax.

Now a days employer offer you w2 forms online, if not ask them to send u ur W2 form scanned copy.. A employer cant deny ur request as it is law.
Second if you have earned anything in a financial year jan 1st to -dec 31st, you have to file taxes, but most probably you will get all ur tax money back as you dint stay for the whole year.. all the best

Thank you for all your replies. Although I am not expecting a refund, I am hoping that I do not have to pay anything too. I am also hoping that it would not be that hard to pay taxes outside of the United States.

Again thank you.
