New Delhi Consulate mentioned in I797 petition

Hi Guys,

 

I received my  new I797 petition from my HR department and to my surprise the I797 petition itself has "Consulate: New Delhi" mentioned just below the begin and end dates of the petition on the upper right hand side.

 

For a background, I was in USA from 2002 to 2010, completed my Masters and 2 full H1B terms. I came to India for my renewal stamping in Nov 2010 but New Delhi consulate denied me visa and sent my papers to USCIS for possible revocation in Jan 2011. My H1B petition was reaffirmed by USCIS in Feb 2013 after 2 years (yes I know its a joke). I never cared about this petition after visa denial and joined a US based IT service company This petition I don't care about is going to expire in Sep 2013. I am still working for the same client I was working for when I traveled to India in 2010 for initial H1B stamping. In 2010 I had a EVC relationship, now its EC relationship with me leading all of Indian IT operations.

 

Now the new H1B petition which was filed by my employer in India has New Delhi Consulate mentioned. What does this mean?

 

Has anyone ever received a petition where Consulate is mentioned?

 

I would appreciate some inputs here.
