Need H1B Stamping upon change of employer after Travelling India?

Hello everyone,

 

Please help me to understand what do I need to do in reference to my issue below:

 

 

1) I was working with Company A on H1B (H1B Stamped) valid till Feb 2014, I transferred the H1B to company B and got the H1B I-797 approved till March 2016.

 

2)Then I traveled to India for a month and came back to USA in June 2013, at the port of entry L.A the officer wrote the i94 Validity as per the company A's H1B stamping( i.e Feb 2014) though I provided the Company B's New I-797 (i.e Valid till March 2016). Online I-94 when retrieved showed Feb 2014 as (Admit Until Date).

 

3) Please let me know If I can merely  stay till March 2016 as per Company B's H1B( I-797) or compulsory exit USA by Feb 2014 and come back with new H1B stamping on Company B. Or is there any other way. Please help me understand.

If it is the case that you showed the previous approval and he still gave you an I94 for the wrong period you can easily go to the CBP at the Airport and have it corrected.
