New H1.. travel before knowing the decision

Hi,

 

I am currently in the US on H4 (dependent) visa. I had applied for H1 this Apr 2013 and today the status has changed to "Request for Evidence". I have to travel outside the US between Aug mid and Sep mid and intend to return back on H4 visa.

 

Is it ok to travel in that time frame even if the H1 decision is NOT known. Will travelling cause any issues?

If it is COS, then its better not to travel.

Moreover, its always better to travel once a decision has been made.

If you leave USA while H1b is in process, your extesion or change of status will be revoked.
