mprabagar80 Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 I am working for Company A for the past 5 years. I am on EAD and my PD is Jan 2010. My wife also applied for GC along with me and both of us got our EAD. She started a business to sell her designs online. Her business is going well and she is paying a another developer fulltime to develop and maintain her eCommerce website. Along with that she hired 2 more employees also for her business to pack and ship her orders. Now, can I work for my wife's company? Am I eligible to do that? My job profile is going to remain the same (Software development for my wife's business website). I am happy to hire lawyer and discuss further if the answer is "Yes".
omshiv Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 You dont need to hire a Lawyer for this as the answer is simple. Yes you can work simultaneously alongside helping your wife in her business as you are on EAD.
mprabagar80 Posted June 20, 2013 Author Report Posted June 20, 2013 Thanks for the response. But no, I am asking can I leave my current job and work the company she started as a full time employee.
Belle Posted June 21, 2013 Report Posted June 21, 2013 You can work for your wife's company as long as the job is similar to the one you were sponsored for. It would be best to consult a lawyer and figure out the right way to do it. Congratualtions on your wife's success.
