hello all

i am new to this forum , help on below questions will be appreciated ...

1- i have h1b visa interview on 12aug at ottawa, what documents should i carry, my h1b started from last october ? i have very few h1bs employees in my company... and i work on employer client model...

2- lca update : i have moved to a different city, state with the same client 5 months back and i (and my employer) was not aware to update lca... i have asked him to update it now...so the lca will get updated with current location but the date on lca will not match with my exact move date of new location..will this raise any issues at the time of visa interview?

3- how important is client letter? my employer has generic contract with the client showing employer-client relation of services/resources...i do not have an exclusive letter on my name....client doesnt give one...

4-can i make changes to the ds160 after making the appointment?

5-general question:i have heard that one can travel to canada for 1-2 days and be back in the US without h1b stamping with valid i797, since the time spend outside is less than certain limit? is that true?

regards

#4: yes you can make changes to your DS-160 after making the appointment. You can keep on making the changes to DS-160 until you submit. and even you can make changes after submitting also. But in the later case you will get a new application id and just make sure to update the DS-160 application ID in your US visa appointment profile with the new one.

#1 you can find the complete check list at http://forum.murthy.com/index.php?/topic/47718-complete-package-h1b-stamping-questions-checklist-pims-client-questions-all-in-one/

#2. Update it at the earliest

#3 Client letter is very important. If you don't have a client letter at least take a copy of the email from your client manager/hr stating that they cannot issue client letter because of company policy.
