My employer just called me to inform that the updated 797/129 has been received but there is no I94 attached(it says that I need to go for a consulate interview. The attorney thinks its a mistake and he requested USCIS for an updated copy along with an I94 but it takes a few weeks to a month. My current h1b visa is valid till Sept2013 and my current I94 is valid till July10th 2013. I have my visa appointment scheduled for July10th at Vancouver What are stakes here? Would it be a problem to attend the visa interview without an I94 from USCIS? Link to comment
