URGENT-->F1 Visa expiring in June can I go for Visa extension on OPT

My F1 visa gets expired on June 26th and I have to go to India in NOV for my wedding. I'm doing my thesis right now and will be defending by September. I have a valid I20 till Dec. Can I go for Visa extension on OPT and what is the risk rate or can anybody please give me other feasible options

 

FYI: I have an offer in hand which I can join after I complete my thesis but H1 will be filed on Apr 2014.

F1 Visa application always has a risk of denial because of immigrant intent. Being on OPT makes it more risky.

if you have an offer letter, you should take the offer letter and pay stubs (once you get it) along with other documents such as i-20, ead card etc

 

i'm assuming a lot of people get this done, no big deal, as long as your company is legitimate and you are doing legal things.
