Naveen432 Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Hi All, I have started DS160 saved it at some point and i have not submitted it but booked an appointment using the confirmation number, it took some time in between to get an appointment on my specific dates but however when i opened the DS160 today i am not able to retrieve it says "No matching data found". I am not sure should i start a new application again or please advice. Thanks
rpoligari Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 Hi, I was in a similar situation. Don't worry, all you have to do is start a new application and inform the visa consulate your new DS-160 confirmation number. They will update it from their side.
Naveen432 Posted June 18, 2013 Author Report Posted June 18, 2013 Thank you for the reply... To inform them do i need to mail them at below emails or is there any other Process?? E-mail (Specific Visa Case Inquiries): vancouverNIV@state.govE-mail (Fiancé(e) visas): vancouverK@state.gov
rpoligari Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 Instead of emailing, you can actually call them at the number below: Visa appointments in Canada: All services - including calling for information and scheduling an appointment - will be provided for no additional cost online at http://canada.usvisa-info.com/ or by calling (703) 439-2319 (calling from the United States),
prawah Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 same situation. I think you just have to update the DS-160 # on your appointment (edit) section. Not aware of if you have to inform someone.
applet Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 Hi Naveen and Prawah, I have a similar situation. i submitted my fully filled DS 160 on May 05 as I have my appointment on May 13, but i had to postpone my visa appointment and now i dont know if I need to update anything on my DS form. I can only think of the entry dates to canada, days of stay and those minor things. If I need to update them, i can only see one option- create a new DS form. If I create a new one, do I need to just edit the visa appointment and update the application number or do I call and email someone? Thank you for sharing the email and contact details in the thread. Thank you Pradeep
prawah Posted June 20, 2013 Report Posted June 20, 2013 So this is what i THINK, Fill in a new DS-160 note down its confirmation # (Bar code) and update the # on your appointment page (EDIT section beside your name) , I've read that you can update this before 3 days of your appointment. But its better to take an extra steps and call them and be on safer side. I will be calling them regarding this.
applet Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 Hi Prawah, Did you get a chance t call them? Any updates? Thank you Pradeep
applet Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Hi Prawah, which is the best possible way to let the consulate know about the changed DS Form? call or email? Your response is very much appreciated. Thank you
