Visa Stamped @ Vancouver

Hi frnds,

 

first of all thank you so much for the posts in murthy forum..they were really helpful for me.

 

I and my friend had interview today June 17th at 10;30 AM.

 

we reached the consulate at 8;30 and had my docs checked and security check done by 8;45..

 

and after the finger prints taken was waiting till 10;30 for my number to be called..finally went to the 20th floor.

 

I think counters 5 and 3 were handling H1 B interviews today.

 

my friend was called ahead of me and he went to counter 3 there was a white male as VO.

 

his questions were ::

 

1) Asked for employer details after looking in I 797 approval form

2) How many years are you working with your employer with joining date

3) Next he asked for Client details :: Who is the client and what do they do

4) Asked for Client start date and Role with job description

5) Asked about graduation details- University / major/ completion date

6) Asked the same details about under grad.

7) Asked W2 forms and tax returns for last 2 years

8) Asked  LCA and pay stubs for one year

9) your VISA is APPROVED

 

Meanwhile my number was called and I went to counter 5...

 

My questions at counter 5:: white male was the VO

 

I wished him with a smile then started the questions

 

 1) Can I get your LCA(gave)

2) What is your Client location (told)

3) who is your Client (XYZ)

4) do you have a client letter(gave)

5) Asked if i am being paid salary properly on time (yes)

6) asked how much is my salary (told what was in the LCA)

7) asked if I did masters in the US and in what specialiisation(told)

 

All the docs I gave all this while he was not looking into it properly..just had a glance.

 

Then said your Visa is approved. collect it within 5 Business days.

 

So both of us got our visa Approved.

 

Sadly another guy who went ahead of US got 221G ..(he changed his employer 6 months back)

Can you tell the 221G case ? what was the question asked and wht did he responded ..

Also, what was your masters in the US and in what specialiisation - Can you describe little bit more ?
