criztina_2000 Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 my friend who became a USC just recently wants to petition his mother to become an immigrant to US.... he is afraid though because the mother applied for a tourist visa in the past & submitted false documents, the tourist visa was not approved, although it was not clear if the reason was because of the false documents......question now is will his petition be affected by the denial of tourist visa issuance in the past? kindly give us any advise or any information ....thanks!
omshiv Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 False docs? Like what? That's a major mistake his mom did!! Never NEVER Never LIE to US Authorities!!!!!
pontevecchio Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 He should discuss the situation with a Lawyer and then go ahead and file the necessary papers.
criztina_2000 Posted June 18, 2013 Author Report Posted June 18, 2013 false documents... i think like fake business registration...fake bank documents...but it was done ages ago...will it still matter?
pontevecchio Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 It may still matter . That's why talk to a Lawyer and then have him file. The worst case is denial.
JoeF Posted June 18, 2013 Report Posted June 18, 2013 If this was a material misrepresentation, yes, it will still matter. They have everything on file.
t75 Posted June 19, 2013 Report Posted June 19, 2013 Why would we want anyone who tried to lie to obtain a visa to be admitted to the US - ever? She deserves whatever happens to her for LYING.
