lkashyap Posted June 13, 2013 Report Posted June 13, 2013 I was arrested for Domestic Violence and Violation of Protective order. In the plea, Domestic Violence was DISMISSED and found NOT GUILTY FOR Violation of Protective order by the Judge, but then for this to happen I had to plea no contest on Disorderly conduct. For which I paid 500 fine and 90 days ACD. Which completed without any more issues. So Can I File for Naturalization and will it get denied becz of this arrest ? I did consultant with an attorney and he said "You should not have arrest in the 5 year period" but said its upto me to apply or not...Pls advice ?

t75 Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 You need an attorney. Dismissal is difficult and depends on the circumstances. It would more likely be a plea bargain to a less serious offense like the first poster but it wopuld still be a crime.
