221g blue in ottawa - when to contact embassy?

Hi,

My sister got a 221g blue in Ottawa last week - the VO asked for her CV and said the application will be in administrative processing. She is a postdoc (epidemiology) and it looks like a Mantis check. It has been a week since her interview. Would anyone have suggestions on when she should start contacting the embassy and asking for updates?

As she was asked for resume, it seems she has got a TAL (technology alert list) check. 

Based on related posts by others in similar situation in past, it takes around 1 month for them to clear in ottawa. Rest of it is 221g victim's luck, no specific timeline per consulate guidelines. Even if you try to check with them, their will be some generic response to wait for 60 days before contacting consulate.
