Withdrawing Change of status application

Hi

I am currently on H1. Unfortunately, there might be a chance of losing my job but if the employer resolves the issue, I might not lose the job. So if I apply for a change of status to O-3 now, can i withdraw before my H1 expires if I continue to be on the payroll?
