Urgent :COS L1 to H1B application converted to Consular Processing H1B application

Hi Team -

I am on L1B and wife is working on L2 EAD - Unfortunately my H1B(filed as COS) got picked up and my wife was not picked up.

Is there a way I can get COS L1 to H1B application converted to Consular Processing - so that I have control on when to start H1B?

Any other options?

Please advice.

In general, if a foreign national travels while a petition to change status is pending, the change of status request is considered to have been abandoned, and the case will be processed for consular processing.

Hi Samace, What did you do? How did you manage your situation? Did you file for H1B amendment to convert COS to CP or did you travel out of US to abandon COS process?

You and your wife need to exit the country and reenter with a valid L1 visa and L2 visa respectively and get new I94s.
